Saxophonist Geoff Burke joins with The Oddysy to present a program of sample-based breakbeat instrumentals, paying tribute to the classic 90’s hip hop and jazz collaborations. Burke seeks to explore the connection between the vast vinyl sourced breakbeats that fueled the golden age of hip hop with modern jazz repertoire. The Oddysy is a dynamic duo made up of NYC singer and jazz bassist KJ, and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee DJ Johnny Juice (Public Enemy). They will be joined by Andrew Fisher on keys for three special performances at RPM Underground, July 13, 20 and 27.
